Old Town Hall Lecture Series

Celebrating the North Shore's rich historical past, the Gordon College Institute for Public History is delighted to announce the inaugural season of our annual lecture series at Salem's historic Old Town Hall.

The Old Town Hall Lecture Series takes place from November 2010 through May 2011 on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm at Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square, Salem, Massachusetts.

The lectures are as follows:

Nov. 18 - Richard Francis - Judge Sewall's Apology

Dec. 16 - Emerson "Tad" Baker - Witchcraft & Conflict in Early New England

Jan. 20 - Bonnie Hurd Smith - Forming a New Era in Female History: The Life and Legacy of Judith Sargent Murray

Feb. 17 - K David Goss - Salem and the Civil War: 150th Anniversary

Mar. 17 - Thomas A "Tal" Howard - America, Europe and the Religious Divide

April 21 - The Museum of Salem planning team - Opening of the new Museum of Salem

May 19 - David D. Hall - Witch Hunting and Popular Religion of the 17th Century
