NYCDAT's annual August Ice Cream, Sorbet and Beer Pairing!

August is hot. Ice cream is good. Sorbet is deelicious. and Craft Beer is, well, Craft Beer is... (insert your best most complimenting and explicitely happy adjective ever here).

Come join The New York City Degustation Advisory Team, Chris Cuzme and Mary Izett, for an evening of refreshing bliss to close out summer. Six ice creams and sorbets will be specifically paired with 6 craft beers to make sums greater than their individual parts.
In a fun and loose environment perfect for such an 'Ice Cream Social', Chris and Mary will talk on some of the why of specific pairings as well as background on the specific beers, companies and ice creams. A formally informal hang for an informal gang.

This pairing/gathering will be in two sessions:

Session I: 6:30pm - 7:45pm | Session II: 8:15pm - 9:30pm

NYCDAT is dedicated to the appreciation and promotion of craft beer through creative and delectable food pairing.

Degust - (v): to taste or savor carefully and appreciatively

Rasberry Sorbet paired with Kapuziner Hefeweizen
Cucumber and Jalepeno Sorbet paired with Reissdorf Kolsch
5 Boroughs Cha Cha Chocolate (chocolate ice cream with habanero and chipotle chili powder) paired with Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA
Haagen Dazs Reserve Amazon Valley Chocolate ice cream with Chimay Tripel
Sixpoint Otis (Nitro Pour)& Haagen Dazs vanilla Float
Reed's Ginger Ice Cream paired with IPA

As a side note of what may be expected this August...since we have had incredible bacon and beer pairings, we'd be absolutely remiss not to include a bacon ice cream pairing!!!!!
