Chromatropic, The Royal Noise, Roxy Rollz, Dr. Beardface and a very special guest band TBA!
January 24th at Connie's Ric Rac will be a great mix of music genres, local and touring bands which will all add up to equal a great night. Dr. Beardfacé and the Spaceman, Roxy Rollz. and The Royal Noise will be some of the entertainment for this evening as they welcome Chromatropic back to Philadelphia along with another surprise touring act that will be announced a little later on.

Brooklyn based instrumental quartet Chromatropic formed in 2010. Over the last three years, they have developed a unique sound that forges elements of jazz, funk, house, DnB and ambient. 2013 has been a breakout year for Chromatropic who can be found churning crowds into butter on dance-floors across the north east. Traveling with their custom light show and a focus on hi-fidelity audio, Chromatropic has quickly gained a reputation as a polished, professional, yet musically risk taking outfit. Chromatropic has recently shared the stage with such notable acts as Dopapod, Consider the Source & Tauk.

Dr. Beardfacé (pronounced "beard-fuh-say") and the Spaceman (pronounced "Spah-chem-in") is a high-energy rock band from Philadelphia. Influenced by punk and 50s rockabilly, Beardfacé has received positive reviews from various blogs and music magazines and has been featured on 93.3 WMMR's Local Shots Podcast, 93.7 WSTW's Hometown Heroes, Goldie's Garage Show on Sirius XM Radio, and the UK's Amazing Radio. The band is currently playing and booking shows for 2015 and working on their second studio album, set to release in mid-2015.

Founded in 2010 by guitarist Johan Harvey and saxophonist/keyboardist Mike LaBombard, The Royal Noise is a relentless funk dance party. They draw on influences from the great funk masters like Herbie Hancock and Parliament Funkadelic as well as modern music like Umphrey's McGee and Lotus. Since then, they have performed consistently across the East Coast from northern NY & VT down to south FL. Once on the road, the line up was given a breath of fresh air with Rodrigo Pichardo (bass) Aaron Zarrow (drums) and Dan Kaplowitz (guitar). On a night to night basis you're guaranteed a different show with constant experimenting and improvising over heavy grooves, catchy melodies, and instrumental prowess. Simon Eddie of Home Grown Music Network stated, "One of the best live funk acts to emerge from the East Coast in a long while."
