AMEXICA (21) Amexica is the story of a young boy from Mexico who is sold by a human trafficking ring to two con artists from Los Angeles with a get rich scheme. They portray him as their son, extorting money from innocent people by risking the boy's life in staged automobile accidents. Trapped, alone with his captors, and unable to speak for himself, the boy decides to take his fate into his own hands, forever changing the lives of the people around him. /// POI DOGS (12) The story of two local Hawaii teenagers and their awkward attempts at expressing a budding romantic interest in each other. Toa, a tough-acting lineman on a crappy high school football team, has just lost the big game. Anela, the tough-acting tuba player tries to console Toa. Ashamed, Toa pushes her away. After a tense fight, Toa and Anela find common ground by overcoming their pride and accepting each others help. In the end, Poi Dogs illustrates the first small step towards love by two guarded teenagers. /// MIND THE GAP (7:14)When a sexy beautiful young woman sits next to a sweet elderly man on a train, the ride is anything but boring. This is a sweet comedy about first and last impressions. /// WOKE UP UGLY (20:46)Herbert Thibadeaux is changing.
