Lancaster Roots and Blues is an annual festival of music and art held in beautiful downtown Lancaster Pennsylvania, USA. The event is held indoors at multiple venues all located within three blocks of each other. Attendees receive a wristband at check-in and can move about freely from stage to stage. Expect at least 60 different musical artists over the 3 day festival.

Style wise, Blues is obviously a big part of the music but we also book a variety of genres including jazz, Americana, roots music, funk, soul, rock n roll including rockabilly, zydeco, world music, and more.

The genre of music is less important than having artists who play from the heart and with soul and possess a high standard of musical excellence. A good description of the music at Lancaster Roots and Blues is it is timeless. We definitely don't chase the flavor of the month. The music is memorable, not disposable.

Festival headquarters for the weekend of the event are at The Lancaster County Convention Center located at the Lancaster Marriott. There will also be an Art Expo in the Convention Center and special Art and Art/Music events at multiple galleries throughout the city.

Complete details including Musical artists performing and visual artists showing including stages and galleries and times for each will be added to the festival website thoughout out the coming months. The goal is to have a complete list posted 4 months before the festival so you may make your plans. You may also by your tickets at the festival box office starting at 2 pm Friday Oct. 15.

Don't worry, you don't have to use PayPal if you don't have an account or if you don't want to use it. It will take you to the next page that gives you a choice of using PayPal or if you scroll down, you can choose to pay with a credit or debit card just like you would with any normal online transaction. Just follow the prompts then to complete your order.

If you purchased early bird tickets to the 2020 festival that was canceled, they will be honored at the 2021 festival.

This is an important safety precaution implemented to protect our festival attendees, artists, staff, vendors, volunteers, and community members. We are doing this to protect YOU and your fellow music lovers. The music industry collectively wants to continue to be able to bring live music and is urging events to adopt these safety protocols. Your cooperation and participation is appreciated.

How will this work?

Before you come to the Ticket Booth to pick up your festival wristband, in the Art Expo in the Lancaster County Convention Center (Where the Lancaster Marriott is.) All fans must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after final dose) and provide proof of vaccination - either the original vaccination card or a printed copy of the vaccination card with an appropriate ID matching the name on your documentation. Or have received a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test within 48-hours before the event and provide proof of negative result to security prior to entering the venue.

Promoters Note: This is the reality of the concert industry in late 2021. It is apparent that Covid-19 is not going away anytime soon. This is our 4th spike since Covid started. It is expected that it will peak and be on the downswing by the festival date. Most adult Americans are vaccinated, and we are going forward with the festival. It makes life a lot simpler and safer if everyone gets a vaccine. I encourage everyone to do so. If you cant, then we will accept a negative Covid-19 test as outlined above.

Most probably we will have to take booster shots over the next year or two. I will do that if necessary. It sucks, but really, we get a flu shot every year, so whats the difference? We dont want to wait another year to hear great music in Lancaster with our fellow music fans. I hope you can join us this year. Its going to a whole lot of fun!
