Main Menu
"Main Menu" by Obvious Agency is a 30-minute-long live performance piece for one player at a time that takes place entirely over the telephone, mimicking a customer service call. Players meet "Annie" a new Interactive Voice Response system (IVR) designed by the enigmatic corporation Life Solutions to solve all of life's problems. Depending on your choices, you may find yourself drawn into everything from sensual guided meditations, to recruitment pitches, to performing call-center work from home via a surgically-inserted implant. THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO EXPERIENCE THE PERFORMANCE:
Solo Player: You will experience Main Menu by taking part in a one-on-one phone call with "Annie".  This option is available for a majority of the performances.  Price is $10-$75 sliding scale.

Quality Assurance Player:  You will experience Main Menu by taking part in a one-on-one phone call with "Annie" that is listened to by an audience. This option is only available for a selected number of performances.  Price is $0-$50 sliding scale.

Quality Assurance Audience: You will experience Main Menu by listening to a one-on-one phone call with "Annie" as a part of an audience.  This option is only available for a selected number of performances.  Price is $0-$50 sliding scale.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY?
A sliding scale basis is a system of mutuality where those who can afford to pay more help to share their financial resources with those who have less, thus making it possible for Obvious Agency to make our work available at a lower price point, while still paying our artists and administrators a thriving wage of $25/hr.  For MAIN MENU, each 30-minute performance involves two staff members; so, an average ticket price of $25 will ensure that we are able to break even on the cost of labor for our individual performances.

Below you will find guidelines based on annual income to assist in your decision.  We aren't economists or financial experts.  Everyone has a unique relationship to money. We all exist within racialized capitalism.  In the end, consider that hundreds of hours over more than two years went into creating this small moment for you.  We hope that whatever you decide to pay for your ticket, you feel both excited to give for this experience, and safe to give within your own unique financial means.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us!

If you make $30,000 annually ($15 per hour) or less, we suggest you pay somewhere between $10 - $15 for your ticket.

If you make between $30,000 ($15 per hour) and $45,000 annually (~$20 per hour), we suggest you pay somewhere between $15 - $25 for your ticket.

If you make between $45,000 (~$20 per hour) and $55,000 annually (~$25 per hour) we suggest you pay somewhere between $25 - $35 for your ticket.

If you make more than $55,000 annually, we suggest you pay between $35 - $75 for your ticket, and if you make significantly more money annually, we suggest you consider making an additional donation to Obvious Agency through our website. http://obvious-agency.com/
