Tri Cities Mutual Aid Fundraiser
Join us on September 24 from 6:30pm-7:30pm for a virtual fundraiser event featuring a panel of local and regional leaders at the forefront of this pandemic who are supporting undocumented communities. Come to learn about the structure, team members and families the Tri Cities Mutual Aid Fund has supported. All ticket sales and donations made during the event will go directly to our neighbors in need.
The Tri- Cities Mutual Aid Fund is a grassroot effort led by directly impacted people, allies and compassionate local community leaders organizing to create a fund to support our most vulnerable community members affected by COVID-19
The Mutual Aid Fund prioritizes undocumented individuals, seniors (60+), those who have lost their employment or work hours, individuals quarantined without pay, the disabled and those with grave illnesses, the homeless, people of color and LGBTQ. Recipients must be living in Franklin or Benton counties and have not received the stimulus check from the federal government.
Our first round of funding and distribution of checks from $125 to $400 has supported 85 families, majority of whom are women and individuals with children. Our donations have come from businesses, foundations, and individuals totaling $25,637.71. 100% of collected donations has gone directly to families and individuals in Benton and Franklin counties. There is much more need. We were able to fund only 30% of the applicants. We need your support to ensure families have the resources needed to survive this pandemic.
