2020 Milwaukee 48 Hour Film Project Premiere Screening and Awards Ceremony
Join us for the Premiere Screening and Awards Ceremony of the 2020 Milwaukee 48 Hour Film project on August 28, 2020 at 7PM. It will be held at the Birch in Wauwatosa (6610 W. North Ave.) This wonderful venue has an outdoor patio and spacious hall. It is connected to Camp Bar which has a quaint northern woods atmosphere. You will delight in these well crafted stories and be amazed at how much was accomplished in just 48 hours! This year, each team randomly chose their own unique genres and everyone had to incorporate the following Required Elements into their story:
Prop: An Egg
Character: Parker Gervasy - A House Painter
Line of Dialogue: "You can't believe a word he says."
Shortly after the films screen, we will have a short but super fun Awards Ceremony. Filmmakers are competing for local prizes worth thousands of dollars. The winning film will move on to a global competition, Filmapalooza, with the chance of a $5,000 cash grand prize and screening at the Cannes Film Festival.
The Premiere Screening and Awards Ceremony will also be available online for participants choosing to stay at home or simply cannot make it. This year we had a Milwaukee filmmaker participate who is currently living on the east coast. Having the ability to watch the Premiere Screening live online and join in on the Awards Ceremony, we potentially will have a global audience on the 28th!
Tickets are $12 which includes both the premiere and the Awards Ceremony.
