Wine with Words - Meet the Author Gene Betit - COLLECTIVE AMNESIA: AMERICAN APARTHEID
Join us for an afternoon of wine tasting as we get to know Gene Betit and discuss his book "Collective Amnesia: American Apartheid African Americans 400 Years in North America, 1619-2019" This comprehensive, richly documented history of African Americans experiences in America is not just an eye-opening investigation of the violent oppression to which black people have been subjected for centuries, but also a compelling call to consciousness raising, political action, and institutional reform. As we explore the chapters and engage in conversation, we will indulge in some of our favorite red wines, from dry to sweet.
* Everyone will receive an autographed hardcopy of the Collective Amnesia: American Apartheid * Enjoy a glass of red wine of choice at the conclusion of the tasting
Space is limited and you must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are $45.00 per person
His other titles include: Wars Cost: The Hites Civil War Manhattans Walloon Settlers: Jesse DeForests Legacy
