May's concert features Lara Herscovich, Karen Gross, Marion Halliday and Chana Rothman.

About Lara Herscovitch:
Lara Herscovitch is a modern American singer-songwriter, creating masterful contemporary folk with blues, pop and jazz influences. Former State Troubadour of Connecticut, she writes, sings and leads with authenticity, integrity, humor and heart, delivering performances that inspire, inform, uplift and entertain. Sound Waves Magazine described her music as "expertly written prose songwriting at its best good for your ears AND your soul. "Delivered with a voice Performer Magazine called "clear and smooth like expensive liquor, " Acoustic Live in New York City added, "She possesses not only a huge reservoir of musical talent and a voice with a bell-like clarity, but a keen sense of global concern and a fierce intellect... It might seem too good to be true, but true it is." For more information visit www.laraherscovitch.com.

About Karen Gross:
Karen Gross is a cabaret singer and songwriter, described as "a queen of sophisticated cabaret" (Philadelphia City Paper) and a "singular singer" (The Philadelphia Inquirer). Karen has performed at Lincoln Center in New York City; the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia; and the Sellersville Theater, as a special guest for legendary comedian Robert Klein. Karen has scripted, performed, and produced a number of popular cabaret shows, and her original songs air on the noted WXPN radio. For more information visit www.karengross.com.

About Marion Halliday:
Marion Halliday is a recovering lawyer, now songstress and troubadour living in Philadelphia but still very intertwined with her Louisville, Kentucky family and musical roots. After moving to Philadelphia, Marion co-founded the Celtic band The Molly Blooms.  In 2016, Marion formed Trickster Sister to feature her original music, which she began writing in 2015 for her Irish band. In 2018, Marion was named "One of the Ones to Watch" by the Nashville Songwriters' Association International; that year she was also chosen by Ron Olesko of WFDU FM Radio to perform at the highly-regarded Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) Suzi Wollenberg Folk DJ Showcase; and she was runner-up for 2018 Best of Philly Live Performer (Folk/Country Category). In July 2019, Marion's debut solo album "Rings Around Saturn" landed at #3 on the Folk Radio DJ charts. In November 2019, Marion appeared in the juried Semi-Formal Showcase at Northeast Regional Folk Alliance in Stamford, Connecticut. For more information visit www.marionhalliday.com.

About Chana Rothman:
Chana Rothman is a Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter/educator. Chanas songs draw on her life experiences as a mother of three boys, lifelong social justice activist, music educator, writer, camp song leader, environmentalist, and classroom music teacher.  Recent projects include 3 Songs for Justice: a collaboration with Isaac Zones and Eliana Light of soul-lifting, singable songs for today's troubled world. Her album Rainbow Train is a danceable revolution about freedom of gender and self-expression. WXPN's Kathy Connell says it "delivers its message of freedom brilliantly."
