2019 Herd of Turtles 5k PARTNERS
The HOPE program at Break the Barriers works with people (Like Austin, Ceari, Larry, Melissa...) recovering from Spinal Cord Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Strokes, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neurological conditions.
On September 28th, 2019, this team of people will participate in the 4th annual Herd of Turtles 5k to raise funds towards their recovery. In preparation, they have committed to train all summer for their various distances, with each HOPE member pushing their own recovery boundaries. Some will run or roll the full 5k, some will use core muscles to sit erect in their power chairs, some will use a walker to finish distances they've been told they can't do. Each of them is working hard to become more mobile.
We are asking for people & businesses to Partner with this team in their recovery! Partner with us and put your logo on our amazing and distinctive shirts! All profits from this event will go straight to scholarships for those who have trained for and performed on Race Day. Be part of the transforming journey these amazing athletes are on!
