Artist Lineup

Maleek Washington / Contemporary
Tuesday, July 2

Maleek Washington has worked with Paul Taylor, Kate Weare, and Alex Noeral, and as a SpringBoard Danse (Montreal) participant. Washington also worked with Jose Navas and Rubberband. Washington collaborated with McArthur Genius awardee, Kyle Abraham, and his company Abraham.In.Motion for four seasons before becoming the first African-American male to perform in the critically acclaimed immersive show Punchdrunk's Sleep No More. Recently Maleek was a part of the ensemble for NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar staring John Legend as Jesus. He just finished performing at the 2018 Ted Talk Conference in Vancouver British Columbia in Camille A.Brown's New Second Line and performed with ASAP Rocky's testing album release installation at Sothebys NYC.

Juel Lane / Contemporary
Saturday, July 6

Lane pushes the boundaries of contemporary dance through choreography that strips labels and shows humanity, as he puts it. World-renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater recently invited Lane to flex his creative muscle as a featured choreographer for Ailey II. Lanes exceptional repertoire has landed him on the cover of Dance Studio Magazine and on Dance Magazines 25 to Watch list.

Currently dancing with Bessie Award-winning Camille A. Brown & Dancers, Lane made history in 2012 as the first local and independent black choreographer to have his work commissioned by the Atlanta Ballet. From there, he participated in the 2015-2016 Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation New Directions Choreography Lab, and collaborated with dance legends across the United States.

Sisley Loubet / Hip Hop
Tuesday, July 16

Sisley has had nothing short of a solid and remarkable journey dancing alongside prominent artists such as Shakira, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Jason Derulo, Katy Perry, P.Diddy, Dirty Money, Ne-Yo, Janelle Monaé, Ellie Goulding, Bella Thorne, LL Cool J, Leona Lewis and Pitbull. Jamie Thompson / Afro-Contemporary
Tuesday, July 23

A native of Belize, Central America, Jamie Thompson is internationally known and respected for his vision, professionalism and commitment to excellence. He spent his formative years on philanthropic endeavors through the arts. A highlight from those experiences was serving as director and choreographer for productions presented by the Rotary Club of Belize (2005-2009). In addition to his volunteerism, he began formal dance training with the Belize National Dance Company and The Dramatic Forces School of Dance. His passion for dance, stirred by the tutelage of the two institutions, led him to a successful pursuit of earning a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. After college, his professional dance experience began with the Dallas Black Dance Theatre (2010-2014). Since then, he has performed with the Bruce Wood Dance Project, Contemporary Ballet Dallas, and Collin Country Ballet Theatre, Dance Place(Washington, D.C) and Tuacahn Performing Arts Center (St. George, Utah). Most recently, Jamie served as Lecturer at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica.
