BENEFIT SCREENING OF ERNST LUBITSCH'S PRE-CODE CLASSIC "THE LOVE PARADE" ON PARAMOUNT LOT
Hollywood Heritage is pleased to invite you to a unique "wedding" of two costume pieces at a screening of the 1929 film "The Love Parade" (Courtesy of Universal Pictures). This "marriage" will take place on Saturday afternoon, July 13th, on the Paramount Studios lot.

Actress Jeanette MacDonald's wedding dress from the Ernst Lubitsch's pre-code film, owned by private collector Greg Schreiner, will be re-united with the gown's 20-foot train, from the Paramount archives, for this special benefit.

The doors will open at 1:00PM with the program to follow at 2:00PM in the studio's Sherry Lansing Theatre, and will be hosted by film historian Leonard Maltin. Paramount costume archivist Randall Thropp and costume collector Greg Schreiner will discuss the celebrated designer Travis Banton and his contributions to the film as well as to other classic Hollywood movies of the Golden Age. Nicola Lubitsch, daughter of director Ernst Lubitsch, is also scheduled to attend (pending availability).

The screening will raise funds to care for Hollywood Heritage's historic Lasky-DeMille Barn, which houses its museum and is the landmark structure where Hollywood's first feature-length film, "The Squaw Man", was made in 1913. Proceeds will help to maintain the historic structure, built in 1901.

Event tickets are priced at $50 per person and includes the film, refreshments, pre-screening discussion as well as a souvenir program. You won't want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience on the historic Paramount Lot! Due to studio security, we will be selling advanced tickets ONLY because we need to provide names of guests beforehand to allow access to the lot. Please be sure to bring a photo I.D. with you to present at the gate!

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: PLEASE ENTER THE LOT THROUGH THE BRONSON AVENUE GATE WHICH IS LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF BRONSON & MELROSE. YOU WILL BE DIRECTED TO THE SHERRY LANSING THEATER WHICH IS A SHORT WALK FROM THE PARKING LOT. PLAN TO ARRIVE BETWEEN 1:00 & 1:30 TO ALLOW AMPLE TIME TO GET TO THE THEATER AND CHECK-IN. THANK YOU!
