SAT 5/25 Update: There are 15 seats available at the door for the 5PM SHOW A; families typically turn in extra tickets at the door.

The 8PM SHOW IS SOLD OUT however, you are welcome to come to the HC to wait for any last-minute extra seats to be released at the door).


Join us for Samohi's Creative Showcase -- an eclectic evening of theatre, music, poetry, dance and comedy performed and directed, even written by, our talented Samohi students. Performances are in the Humanities Center at 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on 5/23, 5/24 and 5/25. There are two different show line-ups performed 3 times each.

The current line-up for Show A and Show B is listed at bottom; note: show order is subject to change so please check back here or with your student for updates.

RESERVE & PICK YOUR SEATS in advance. Enter quantity of adult/student tickets then add to cart. Be sure to click the small "LET ME CHOOSE MY SEATS" button beneath the seating chart that pops up to open the option of choosing seats on the chart.

PRINT OR SHOW YOUR BARCODED TICKET ON YOUR PHONE AT THE DOOR FOR ENTRY by clicking the 2nd link that you see in your ticket purchase confirmation email.

We encourage you to reserve your seat in advance as seating is limited to 177 seats in the HC. With the performance area on the floor, Row A is the front row and on the floor; Rows B-F are elevated on risers around the performance area.

CHANGES - Once you have purchased your ticket, if you need to change seats, switch show dates, or request a refund, please contact Brown Paper Tickets (24/7) at 800-838-3006 BEFORE online ticketing closes for each show.

ONLINE TICKET SALES will close 2 hours before show start. If there are any remaining tickets, they will be available for sale at the door when the box office opens 45 minutes prior to show start. Please check back for status updates.

PARKING is available at the Civic Center lot and structure; there is limited street parking on 7th Court and the meters on Lincoln at Michigan Ave.; the 7th Court/Michigan Ave. gate is the closest entrance to the Humanities Center.

Directors Note: This piece was inspired by the pressing debate surrounding the recent actions occurring in Alabama. As a group that identifies as strong, independent women, we felt strongly about the mistreatment many feel within society, and took this opportunity to let our voices be heard.

Merry Wives of Windsor (Shakespeare scene) featuring Nadia Goosby, Natalie Krenik, Abby Johnson and Shayna Zuckerbraun. The scene was awarded 1st Place in the Varsity Woman In Power category at the DTASC Shakespeare competition.

Directors Note: This scene is about a young couples mission to buy a couch which is  interrupted by a unique employee and her bizarre companions.

The Cold-blooded Murder (original scene written by Jackson Gerard and Shayna Zuckerbraun, directed by Jackson Gerard) featuring Sila Akcora, Shai Chase, Jackson Gerard, Nadia Goosby, Frank Ji
Directors Note: This scene is a parody of the fact that Public Domain scenes tend to run long and sometimes get blacked out. The actors are rushing against the clock to finish the scene before its blacked out.

Directors Note: This scene is about a woman who was in the military and got a job as a substitute teacher. She pronounces peoples names wrong and doesnt like to be corrected.

A Midsummer Nights Dream: Lovers Quarrel (Shakespeare scene directed by Caitlin Durkin) featuring Shai Chase, Caitlin Durkin, Emery Komlos, Sidd Wali
Directors Note: This lively scene begins just after a magic flower has drugged the boys, Demetrius (Shai Chase) and Lysander (Sidd Wali), causing them both to fall out of love with Hermia (Caitlin Durkin) and in love with Helena (Emery Komlos), whom they had previously spurned. Confusion ensues when each girl believes the other is conspiring with the boys to trick her, resulting in a massive fight.

Directors Note: Music has had an enormous impact on my life and it was difficult to choose a song. My solution: intertwine my favorite styles (ballad, rock, opera and Latin) into one minor soup. Hope you enjoy!
