Brief Film Synopsis;
S.E.L.L.As Kitchen, is a coming of age inspirational drama. The film stars Trisha Mondesir as Marley aka S.E.L.L.A, an at risk teen and food prodigy living in Boston. Soon she finds herself enthralled in a vicious competition and under the tutelage of a mysterious teacher with a heavy accent, volatile personality and a culture far different than anything Sella's ever known.
The feature project which was filmed during 2018, is comprised of an unprecedented number of over 200 local New England artists ( actors, musicians and extras) which all came together to unite and support the making of this opus.
Story-lines deal with the culture clash between the much younger Sella' and the group of competing and battle ridden Chefs all with their own unique backgrounds.
The film itself includes elements of core family values, extensive history regarding hip hop music and functions as a mixture of melodrama, artistic cinema and comedy.
