Children's Yoga on the Farm

~ Children, ages 5-14, will enjoy a 40-minute Yoga practice with certified YogaEd instructor, Cathi Raub-Carney. Yoga increases self-awareness, attentiveness, and emotional regulation. It also empowers children to better regulate their inner state.

Yoga has been proven to increase balance & coordination. Yoga poses strengthen muscles and maintain flexibility in youngsters & improves concentration.

Yoga poses require full attention to a childs body, muscles and joints to properly execute each move. This focus brings attention to the here and now and helps prevent a wandering mind. These skills can transfer to the classroom environment with students more alert and receptive to instruction.

Yoga encourages a calmer mind. Focus and breathing create a winning combination for calming the mind and being able to release distracting or negative thoughts.

Children should bring their own mat or beach towel.

~ Meanwhile, parents will enjoy getting their hands dirty during a DIY Succulent Plating Workshop led by Kathy Keaggy Brown. Studies have proven that indoor plants improve concentration and productivity (by up to 15 percent!), reduce stress levels and boost your mood making them perfect for not just your home but your work space, too.

~ End the day by making a lavender essential oil spritzer to take home. Use your spritzer on your pillow to ease yourself to sleep or spray at work or home to help reduce stress & anxiety.

~ Children are welcome to plant a succulent &/or make an essential oil spritzer after their Yoga session (prices are a la carte - bundle price available for the full experience).
