The Green Room: an intersectional pot play festival
The Green Room: an intersectional pot play festival is a curated night of theater consisting of short plays of 1 to 5 minutes. Intersectionality is defined as the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender. By engaging artists and communities from all backgrounds through this festival, we have created an evening of theater that fosters a bigger community unified in their interests of art and cannabis.
Cannabis has outgrown its status of taboo in the hands of millennials We believe theres no better time than now for theater like this, for artists and audiences.
We at The Green Room have pledged a portion of our profits go to a local organization that do just that. That organization being Empire State NORML, who work at the intersection of racial equity, restorative justice & the cannabis industry. We hope to open the eyes of our audience to the different experiences that are had involving cannabis.
Cooler Gallery, a beautiful venue for art and thought, has graciously joined aboard our mission to shares these stories, lending their space and resources as in a collaborative effort.
