The Fair Housing Board is hosting 2 seminars on the 25th of April 2019. The first session will focus broadly on Fair Housing Law and will start at 9am. The second session will focus on the intersection of Fair Housing Law and Hoarding followed by a Q&A session. This session will start at 1:30 pm.

You will have the option to register for the morning and/or afternoon session. If you would like to make a day of it, you are more than welcome to register for both sessions.

Fair Housing Seminar

1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Intersection of Fair Housing and Hoarding, followed by Q&A
(Certificate available if entire seminar is attended)

The first three hour session will teach you about legal rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Law. The second session will focus on the intersection of Fair Housing and Hoarding. Both courses, conducted by a board-approved education provider, will give you the basic foundation of Fair Housing Law.

Regional Fair Housing Seminars are Offered by the Virginia Fair Housing Office in other areas of the Commonwealth:

Ignorance of the law is not a defense!

Who should take the class? Landlords, property managers, leasing consultants, owners of manufactured housing, the general public . . . anyone who sells, leases, owns, or manages residential property. Housing providers who complete the course are eligible for state certification by the Fair Housing Board.

Virginia Fair Housing Office classes are free but registration is required.
