The Location
Set in the Heart of the Jack London Village at the Yeti overlooking the beautiful Sonoma Creek. We are privileged to host this event at this marvelous location.
Here is what Michelin Guides are Saying!
Its sleepy location may be unusual, but with a creekside view and friendly service, Yeti makes for a pleasant getaway from the wine country grind. Inside the sunken dining room, soft folk music, Tibetan artwork, and a blisteringly hot tandoor set an authentic scene. Though this food may hail from the Himalayan frontier, most dishes are from both India's North (think grilled meats and biryanis) as well as her Southern coastal regions (fish curries and coconut sauces). Try the lamb chops coated with garam masala and served over a bed of charred onion and bell pepper. Vegetable momos (steamed dumplings stuffed with cabbage, carrots, beans, and green onion) served with spicy sambal, cilantro and sweet tamarind dipping sauces are a party in your mouth.
About Us
The Ruth Weirich Clinic was originally built through the support of CDRT. The clinic was built in 2017 to bridge the disparity in medical care for the people in the Sindhupalchowk region of Nepal. After CDRTs experience in search and rescue in the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, it was impossible not to notice the utterly lacking medical infrastructure. The Ruth Weirich Clinic is one of many steps being taken to build a system of support for the Nepalese people.
Now partnering with Santa Rosa Kasthmandap Lions Club a member of Lions International and Volunteer Corps Nepal our capabilities continue to grow. As we strive in unison to improve the quality of life and meaningful medical care for every single person who walks in our doors. The clinic now has the capability to treat over 800 people a month and is operating in a region that services a community of 13,800 Nepalese people. We are honored to be servicing a community of such kind and strong individuals and are looking forward to our continued involvement within this community and the rest of Nepal.
Moving Forward
In the last year, we have made leaps in our capabilities to provide service. As we partner with three more organizations, CDRT, Volunteer Corps Nepal, and Lion Clubs International, we have been able to expand our hours to six days a week, offering medical attention, for free, to anyone who walks in the door. We have also been able to expand our services to include maternity care and regularly organize medical camps that offer specialized care to those in need.
