Miss Ebony World

You are cordially invited to attend the Coronation Ceremony of Miss Ebony World 2019.

Please join us for this extraordinary celebration of cultural diversity as we honor and recognize the talented and ambitious African youths working to advance the status of African women in worldwide.

The Coronation Ceremony presents a rare opportunity for our world to experience the vibrant cultures of Africa, learn about the biggest humanitarian issues plaguing the continent, and enjoy African music, dance, art and more.

The Miss Ebony World Pageant seeks to celebrate beauty and creativity within the ebony community. Moreover, our mission is to bridge the gap between Africans, Black Americans, and those of Caribbean descent through an organized showcase demonstrating the love, culture, and overall goodwill fostered within these communities both abroad and at home. Our mission is to cultivate the heart and mind of our youths locally and internationally by creating a learning opportunity in the hopes of sparking a wave of community involvement and to the strengthen the bonds between cultures.

During last years contest, Hope from South Sudan raised awareness about the very real threat of child marriage in her home country. Other participants highlighted important issues related to vaginal mutilation, rape, child abuse, children with disabilities, access to clean water, domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, education for women & children, and more. All of which are issues that exist not only domestically, but on an international level.
Each year, the Miss Ebony World pageant aims not only to bring young women together to represent their countries and share their cultures with the rest of the world, celebrate the power of the African woman, and foster sisterhood but also have the winner visit Africa for community services.

The pageant helps the delegates to achieve the following:

--- Build self-esteem and confidence in young African women growing up in a diverse culture.

--- Get connected to their roots

--- Build leadership skills

--- Enhance skills in community development & empowerment through humanitarian service

--- Be the voice of the voiceless and share issues of concern

--- Project a positive image of Africa to the rest of the world

--- Bridge the gap between Africa and the United States through gestures of goodwill between the two countinents.
