A Holiday Bizarre is a fundraiser extravaganza. The theme of the event is touching the mystical, reaching into the bizarre. It is part pre-teen slumber party, comedy show and guided mystical exploration. All proceeds from this event go to SARC (sexual assault resource center) and all toys collected go to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
A Holiday Bizarres thematic schema grew from pre-teen sleepover remembrances, of groups of adolescent girls attempting to put one another in trances, divine our futures via Ouija Boards, conjure up angry ghosts in the mirror, and make each other float with the slightest touch. This night we approach the mystical with light hearts and open spirits, seeking to be both scared and amazed.
