There is growing excitement for ferns in today's garden and Richie Steffen is just the person to share this swell of enthusiasm. Richie is the executive director of the Elisabeth C. Miller Botanical Garden, president of the Hardy Fern Foundation and co-author and co-photographer of the popular The Plant Lovers Guide to Ferns. His lecture will explore the historical popularity of ferns along with showcasing many beautiful and unusual ferns hes encountered on his travels. A visual feast of texture, color and garden use will leave you ready to add more of these unique plants to your garden. An active member of numerous horticultural societies in the area, we are proud to have him serving on Heronswood's Steering Committee.

Dan Hinkley will introduce Richie and also be on hand and to moderate the lively plant sales and holiday wreaths and gift basket raffle activities.
