ALAN BIBEY & GRASSTOWNE IN CONCERT

Alan Bibey & Grasstowne will present a concert at The Arts Place of Stokes on Sunday, October 7, 2018 beginning at 3pm. Doors will open at 2pm.

100% of admission proceeds will support the new Stokes Junior Mountain Music traditional music instruction program organized by the Stokes County Arts Council.

The concert will include two sets of music with intermission, followed by a meet & greet with the band.

Alan Bibey is a Stokes County, NC native who is recognized as one of the most creative and technically gifted mandolin players in bluegrass and acoustic music. A stylist who turned heads as an original member of The New Quicksilver, IIIrd Tyme Out, BlueRidge and now Alan Bibey & Grasstowne, his tasteful innovations and pristine execution earned him inclusion in The Young Mando Monsters project, Mel Bays Mandolin book The Greatest Mandolin Players Of The Twentieth Century as well as The Bluegrass All-Stars Sugar Hill Records project.

Alan will be joined on October 7 by Grasstowne members Zak McLamb, Laura Orshaw, Mike Bentley, and Justin Jenkins.

Tickets are $20 in Advance for Adults / FREE for ages 18 and under, and $30 the day of the show for Adults. In addition to purchasing tickets via Brown Paper Tickets, tickets may also be purchased by calling the Stokes County Arts Council at 336 593-8159 or visiting the Stokes County Arts Council at 500 N. Main Street in Danbury, NC.

Complimentary chicken stew will be served beginning at 2pm courtesy of John Brown's Grill.
