MARY GOES ROUND/HOLIDAY HOSTAGE
Mary Goes Round is a redemptive drama with darkly comedic undertones about Mary (Aya Cash, You're the Worst), a substance abuse counsellor who gets a DUI and retreats to her hometown of Niagara Falls to face her broken relationship with her family and get sober. When Mary arrives, she finds out that her estranged father, Walt (John Ralston, Living in Your Car), has terminal cancer. He wants Mary's help in delivering the news to her overachieving half-sister, Robin (Sara Waisglass, Degrassi: The Next Generation), who has no idea who Mary is. Or at least pretends not to. Despite this, Mary's sympathy for Robin, whose mother recently left, and a budding friendship with a no-bullshit Personal Care Worker who she meets at AA, Mary stays. When Walt's illness takes a turn for the worse, Robin starts to self-destruct and Lou falls from her heroic pedestal, Mary must step up to the plate for someone other than herself for once.

Its Thanksgiving night and siblings Abby and David just want to quickly eat their turkey and ditch their overbearing still has their umbilical cords Jewish mother. Before they can make their getaway, Gary, a deranged ex-convict, breaks in and takes the family hostage.
Tensions are high, family secrets are revealed, and Garys getting so annoyed hes starting to regret this. At least Grandma is here to calm the family down. Just kidding, shes crazy. Can this dysfunctional family make peace with one another before theyre offed? Oy vey!
