James Gafgen In Concert: An All Star Big Band Salute to the Legends of Las Vegas

James Gafgen amazes the audience with a tribute to the greatest legendary singers of Las Vegas. He is backed on stage by an all star live jazz big band featuring artists from some the nations finest orchestras. He gives back to the listener a simply riveting experience of vocal and orchestral excellence. James has performed internationally for the past ten years as part of headliner act "Your Three Tenors" for several world class cruise lines including Cunard, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean. He studied at the prestigious Mannes School of Music in New York and coached voice with Louise Caselotti, teacher of the legendary Maria Callas, and coached repertoire with Maestro Rolando Fiore of Philadelphia. James has also performed in showrooms in Atlantic City and as a special guest artist for world-famous painter Thomas Kincade, featuring Thomas lecturing in person. He opened for The Three Tenors concert (featuring Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras) at the Meadowlands Stadium.

Maestro Wilbur Wittemann has conducted bands and performed on trumpet with many world famous musicians and orchestras: Dizzy Gillespie, Maynard Ferguson, Arturo Sanduval, Urbie Green, Slide Hampton, Louis Bellson, Bill Watrous, Allen Vizzutti, Steve Turre, Clark Terry, Phil Woods, Bob Mintzer, Lew Tabackin, Randy Brecker, Red Rodney, Dave Weckl, Wayne Bergeron, Jose Feliciano, Little Anthony, The Platters, Shari Lewis and the Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestras.
Wilbur is conductor of orchestras with the string sections from the Philadelphia Orchestra, Trenton Symphony and the Philly Pops.

Net proceeds for this performance will benefit the Piazza Nuova Lodge of Yardley, PNL C&E Foundation, Enrico Fermi Science Endowment Fund at Bucks County Community College.
