David Hazeltine Trio with Shalom Dubas at Centre Hills Country Club
Legendary Jazz Great, Pianist David Hazeltine will perform an exclusive (nowhere else in the area) performance with his trio - bass and drums - at Centre Hills Country Club on Saturday evening, July 28th, 2018. Known for his excellence at improvisation, David Hazeltine is breaking from a world tour and the making two albums to play this show - the result of friendship with some folks in the area.
Centre Hills is a private country club that is beautifully kept and with stunning views of Mt. Nittany. It is the region's premiere private club and makes an elegant setting for a beautiful musical evening. The show will be under the stars in front of the clubhouse with a cash bar. In the event of rain, the event will be moved inside, to the main dining room in the upstairs of the club.
This event is being marketed to members of Centre Hills, but at the request of the promoter, a jazz lover, a limited number were set aside for the jazz loving public. If Centre Hills members oversubscribe their allotment, the tickets set aside for the public will go to members, so please act fast. TOTAL TICKETS AVAILABLE IS 150.
The opening act is Shalom Dubas, a rising star in her own right. Shalom is a soulful singer-song writer whose work moves effortlessly between jazz-inflected soul and hip hop. Come early and you will be richly rewarded.
A limited run of signed "Musician-Geisha Girl" posters exclusively for the event, designed by world-renowned, local tattoo artist "Lowercase J." will be available for sale at the show.
We would like you to be comfortable for this event, but please dress appropriately for an elegant evening. Sport jackets for gentlemen are not necessary.
