The Hooper-Patterson Gala

It's a night of dancing, food and local pride! Join us for the Hooper Patterson Family Cemetery Restoration Party on Friday, September 21 at The Riverdale on Watson Blvd. in Endwell, NY. We're raising awareness and funds as owner of Endwell's David Scott Hair Salon, David Vallone has been doing restoration work in the historic Hooper-Patterson Family Cemetery at Washingtonian Hall since January fo 2017.

For the fare, Riverdale will be serving up quite the menu with their Signature Toscana Table and Hors d'oeuvres. Water, soda, coffee and assorted teas will be available all night. Cash Bar.

All proceeds go towards the Hooper-Patterson Family Cemetery Project. The most immediate project involves creating a new fence with two entrance gates to surround the historic property. Materials to fabricate the fence and entrance gate planned for the cemetery, the labor for the fabrication is being donated by Mary Samiani.

How did this project get started? Vallone with teams of volunteers from Binghamton University and Empirical Paranormal have done restoration and investigative work throughout the cemetery. All 27 grave markers present at the cemetery in the past year are cleaned and restored to an ideal condition for being over 200 years old! In fact, according to Vallone's research and the archeology team's findings, there are 42 people buried at this site. Vallone seeks for the next phase to have all 42 names displayed on a permanent granite sign upon entering the cemetery.
