Caribbean Cinema Nights, is CaFA's longest running screening series, bringing Caribbean films to various venues in Brooklyn. With this edition of the Cinema Nights, in partnership with PrintbyPrint Group, we will be bringing Caribbean films to Harlem.

The movie highlights Saint Lucian folk stories and music, with most of the dialogue in French Creole.

"The Seawall" A Film by Mason Richards
The Seawall, a narrative short film shot entirely on location in Georgetown, Guyana, tells the story of Marjorie, a Guyanese woman, who is preparing for her 10-year old grandsons move to America to be with his mother. Struggling with loneliness, and abandonment, audiences watch as Marjorie sacrifices her happiness for her grandsons future.

Scars Of Our Mothers' Dreams

Scars of Our Mothers Dreams is a film that offers a unique, intimate glimpse into the complexities of parental migration through the lenses of children left behind. Years after her own personal struggle to overcome the feeling of childhood abandonment, filmmaker Meschida Philip returned to Grenada in search of others with similar childhood experiences, to find out how their lives were impacted after their parents migrated.
