May 30 FLHS Planetarium Night Series 2018

The Fair Lawn High School Planetarium will be opening its doors to the public on the evening of Wednesday May 30th. Join us for an evening under the stars to explore the current night sky, view our rock and roll laser effect show, and see the FULLDOME feature titled: "SEEING - A photons journey across space, time and mind". Produced by Mirage3D and Koenig Films, SEEING! follows a photons creation and journey across the galaxy to a young stargazers eye. The viewer follows the photon into the girls eye, learning the structures of the eye and their functions, prior to taking a ride on the optic nerve. Seeing! was directed by Robin Sip, written by Emmy Award© winning writer Kris Koenig and narrated by Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, American astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, science communicator and the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City.

The doors open for 1 children's session and 3 General sessions. The children's session will begin at 4:45pm. General sessions begin at 5:45PM, 6:45PM and 7:45PM. Tickets are available for $10 donation in advance by May 30 @ 2pm. Advance ticket reservation required, seating is limited.

The children's session which will be shorter in length (30 minutes) begins at 4:45pm. The content of this show will be geared towards pre-school to 1st graders. (ages 5-8) We will look at the current sky and watch an appropriate feature film.

Arrive 10 minutes early via the main parking lot entrance which can be entered at the intersection of Fairclough PL. and Kipp St.

As this is a fundraiser, refunds cannot be processed.
