Vashon Sheepdog Classic - June 7-10 2018 - Dawn to Dusk
Friday, Saturday & Sunday - Admission $25 - All Event Pass, $10/day, kids 10 & under free
Thursday - Pro novice & Nursery day, pay what you can at the gate. $10 suggested donation, all proceeds will benefit Vashon Island Food Bank.
Vashon Island invites people from all over the world to enjoy the fascinating world of the working sheepdog. The Vashon Sheepdog Classic is the most attended herding event on the West Coast and it is held on one of the most breathtaking sites in the Puget Sound areathe rolling meadows of Misty Isle Farms.
Spectators enjoy local food, spirits, fare, fiber arts, and other artisan crafts while they experience this highly regarded national competition.
The Vashon Sheepdog Classic gifts the proceeds from the event to island nonprofit organizations that focus on the enrichment of education and health for Vashon youth.
VSDC adds a shuttle bus on Saturday June 9th and Sunday June 10th - with pickup times at the ferry dock from Fauntleroy and Point Defiance & drop off times to return to West Seattle and Tacoma. More information on times to come in May!

How difficult is parking if we chose to drive?

There is no dedicated parking lot close to the field. Parking is on the street surrounding the field only. The streets tend to fill up by late morning. We are offering a shuttle for Saturday and Sunday from 10a-4p that will be stopping at two Park & Rides on the island (Ober Park & The Country Store). This shuttle is free. So if you arrive at the field and parking is too difficult you can drive to the Country Store and pick up the shuttle. |
