TWEED presents: Scarlet Envy: SMOKE & MIRRORS

TWEED TheaterWorks (EST 1983), Kevin Malony Artistic director, has been partnering with Pangea for the past three years to present a stellar performance series on Sundays (and some others days!) that combines the best of the "old school' and the "up & coming" musical, performance, and theater artists that NYC has to offer. www.tweedtheater.org

SMOKE & MIRRORS
Written by Jacob James, SMOKE & MIRRORS stars beauty queen and emotional exhibitionist, Scarlet Envy. Original costume design by James pairs perfectly with raw accounts of lessons learned after midnight. The live cabaret dinner show is a departure for those familiar with Scarlet's off broadway portrayal of Yma Sumac in The Legend of Yma Sumac. Written by Jacob James with musical director and pianist James Wilson, visuals by Steven Willis and choreography by Dan Safer.

Scarlet Envy is the creative culmination of Kentucky native Jacob James's obsession with the femme. Rooted in dive bar glamour, Scarlet has been simmering on New York City stages and on your favorite instagram feed (@scarletenvy) since 2014. In the fashion photography book DRAGS by Gregory Kramer, Envy is quoted saying, "I'm an actress. A bourbon barrel beauty with a Hollywood glaze." Most recently known for her work with Harpers Bazaar as the late Princess Diana, she also closed out last season of NBC's Saturday Night Live with Katy Perry.

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food or beverage minimum at the tables.
The house opens one hour before the show. Please arrive early.

Late arrivals will be seated at management's discretion.
