Deborah Smith (Songwriter, Singer, Guitarist, Producer)
Deborah C. Smith is an American singer-songwriter from Brooklyn NY whose music and storytelling have roots in country and folk songs. Deborah's rock driven rhythm guitar, jazz-inspired flow, and life lessons in poetry form a unique songwriting style which she has applied to projects ranging from studio recordings and live performances to lyric writing for rock-operas, classic musicals and published poetry collections.
She has performed throughout the U.S. and abroad as a solo folk musician and with the female roots ensemble Medicine Woman. Deborah's latest full length album, Hearing In The Bardo, explores the depths of personal loss and letting go, and illustrates her study of jazz, soul and lyrical poetry.
