 With a style that shifts seamlessly from sunny indie pop to heartfelt Americana, and a stage presence that's full of dynamic soul, MaryLeigh is an entrancing live performer. Nurtured as a writer and musician right here at Caffe Lena before shipping off to play pubs in Scotland for a year, she was named the Capital Region's "Best Female Singer-Songwriter" by Metroland Magazine in 2012 at the age of twenty. Her 2014 album, Skin & Bones, prompted prominent music critic David Malachowski to call her, "a strong, smart singer songwriter with a lovely voice . . . a heartbreaker with a song." Nippertown wrote, "Skin & Bone is a simply exceptional album... it's an eclectic mix, but it all hangs together perfectly thanks to Roohan's musical vision, her wiser-than-her-years lyrics and an undeniably powerful, passionate voice."
