 Based in the Capital District this large, colorful ensemble came together to celebrate the beginnings of jazz, especially tunes from the 1920s to '40s. With ten musicians in the group, they cover Billie Holiday to Louis Armstrong, Al Bowlly, Annette Hanshaw, Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy and a healthy sampling of contemporary musicians as well. Their joyful approach turns every performance into a music party for all to enjoy.
