Visit to the Mont St Michel
Let's meet at 8am for a fantastic day !
TIming of the day :
- 8 am : meeting near MCE for departure
- 8 am to 11 am : 3 hour direct trip by bus (no pause)
- 11.30 am to 2.30 pm : free time on Mont St Michel (visit on the Mont on your own, visit the abbey if you feel like it, and have lunch. Bring your own picnic)
- 3 to 5 pm : guided visit of the bay : barefoot walk on the wet sand with a guide who will explain to you this fantastic biotope (quick sands, tides...). Enjoy a unique landscape and views of the Mont.
- 5-6pm : walk back to the bus
- 6 pm : Bus departure to Nantes (direct trip, no pause)
- 9 / 9.15 pm: Scheduled arrival in Nantes city center
The fee includes transportation from Nantes to the Mont and back, as well as the guided visit of the bay.
The fee does NOT include lunch, snacks, water or dinner. It does NOT include the entrance fee to the abbaye.
Before registering for this event, make sure you understand and agree to the following :
- you will walk barefoot on wet sand for two hours
- wear shorts and bring a change of clothing in case you fall in the water
- have an average to good level of physical fitness (walking up the Mont is tiring, the walk in the bay has no possibility of sitting down or standing in the shade)
- bring water to stay hydrated, snacks, sunscreen, sun glasses and a hat or rain jacket depending of weather.
Because of the long time in the bus (6h in total), the dangers of quicksand and all the walking, children under the age of 7 can not attend this event. We strongly recommend parents of children 7 to 10 to strongly consider the difficulties of this long day before registering their kid.

Because of the stairs to acess the abbey and the 2 hr walking guided tour on wet sand, this excursion is unfortunately not accessible to any person with physical difficulties and motor limitations.
