 It's the debut of Lena's 3-part series showcasing favorite musical discoveries of our region's top folk DJs! Chris Wienk of WEXT 97.7 The Exit is pleased to introduce three of his regional favorites to the Caffe Lena crowd with on-stage interviews and lots of great songs:
Tor & the Fjords is an indie artist from Albany otherwise known as singer-guitarist & librarian Tor Loney. His engagingly wordy folk-pop has won him performances at Indie Fest, Songfest & Tulip Fest.
Albany-based singer-songwriter Zan Strumfeld "has carved herself a beautiful little niche of music perfect for Sunday mornings, road trips and just about every other occasion you can think of." -New Paltz Oracle
Born and raised in the heart of the Adirondacks, twenty-three-year-old Ashley Sofia is a gutsy, joyful folk-rocker with a catalog of more than sixty songs. She approaches her music as a kind of genuine conversation you've spent your entire life waiting to have.
