Tif Ginn is a gutsy, amazing singer and transcendent songwriter who has spent her adult life on concert tours, first as half of the Fabulous Ginn Sisters, releasing 3 critically acclaimed albums, and then as part of the Fred Eaglesmith Traveling Show. Now she takes a turn fronting the band she has been playing with for the last several years.
Her gritty, heartbreaking songs, co-written with Eaglesmith, are of single moms, lovesick fools, and trailer park life. Tif's sultry, smoky, honest and emotional style perfectly suits the subject matter. Stylistically, she dabbles in jazzy country and angry punk, embracing pop, Americana and folk along the way. It all comes out fearless and enormously listenable.
As part of her bands, Ginn has played over a thousand shows at some of the best rooms and festivals in North America. Her CDs have been played on Americana, folk and indie radio stations and her CDs have been ravely reviewed in publications all over the US, Canada and Europe. Her opening sets for Eaglesmith at Lena's have been a highlight of the evening, and left all in attendance hungry for a full evening of Tif.
