This big jazz and soul band reinterprets the music of the great songwriters of the 60s and 70s. The group features beautiful four-part harmony, great grooves, and top-notch musicianship from six of upstate NY's finest: singers Jeanne O'Connor and Mallory O'Donnell, drummer Sam Zucchini, bassist Tony Markellis, guitarist and singer Bob Warren, and pianist Peg Delaney. Their repertoire includes Carole King's "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," Joni Mitchell's "Carey," Van Morrison's "Crazy Love," Burt Bachrach's "Do You Know the Way To San Jose?" and the Beatles' classic "The Word." Says Jeanne, "These songs from my youth are now standards in the best sense of the word: beautifully crafted tunes that are such a pleasure to re-arrange and perform. . . .the tunes really resonate with people, and the band plays with such musicality and passion."
