Synopsis: JAY SEBRING....CUTTING TO THE TRUTH is an depth look into the life and legacy of Jay Sebring- the revolutionary Sixties Hollywood men's designer- until his untimely murder at the hands of Charles Manson and the so called family.
The documentary restores proper status to a cultural, historical figure whose identity and legacy was lost in the sensationalism and exploitation surrounding his murder and the notorious murders.

Filmmakers Johnny Bishop (producer/editor) and Sebring nephew Anthony DiMaria (director/producer) embarked on a 12 year quest to decipher the facts. Among those interviewed in the documentary include Dennis Hopper, Nancy Sinatra, Quentin Tarantino, Vidal Sassoon, Robert Wagner, Quincy Jones, Fred Segal, Andy Williams, Max Baer Jr., Paul Anka, Vanity Fair's Dominick Dunne, Barbara Luna, forensic specialist Dr. Michael Baden (JFK/Warren Commission), Debra Tate, Manson Prosocuter Stephen Kay, Linda Lee (Bruce Lee's wife), Stuart Whitman, and Vic Damone.

Additional cultural context is provided by David Milch (NYPD Blue/Deadwood), LADA Patrick Sequeira, author Stephen Davis (Hammer of the Gods), USC Professor of Media Ed Cray and Los Angeles historian D.J. Waldie . Never seen before materials from Sebring's personal collections and exclusive b-roll footage of his childhood roots, Fairfax salon, and Easton residence (formerly owned by Jean Harlow) are contained in the Jay Sebring story.

This film contains LAPD polygraphs, exclusive documents, intimate photos, and candid materials- all revealing truths never known before regarding one of the most notorious murders in American history and a long forgotten American cultural icon, Jay Sebring.
