CityDance Summer Intensive Video Audition 2021

Audition is required for each Summer Intensive. For Video audition please register here with $25 audition fee.

Video requirements are different for each age category:

8-12 y.o. dancers should include the following:

- video from a dance class
- short video of improvisation or performance.

12+ y.o. should include the following:

- short ballet barre including: pliés, tendus, dégagés, rond de jambes, battements (right and left sides)
- short ballet center including: adagio, turns, jumps, reverence
pointe work if applicable
- short modern warm up of choice to include contractions (on floor or standing) and work in parallel
- contemporary across the floor of choice
- demonstration of any other genre you would like to share, if applicable

Dancers who competed with solo in YAGP or other dance competitions can send us video link to your competition performance.

Please make sure to add your video links here after your payment and email them to summer@citydance.net as well.

The videos are accepted on rolling admission.

SUMMER INTENSIVE INFORMATION:

CityDance is bringing professional artists from around the US and the world to Maryland and to our virtual platforms this summer! CityDance's signature Summer Intensives provide challenging training in classical and contemporary techniques, world dance forms, dance history, improvisation / composition and repertory with classes taught by the stellar teaching artists of CityDance Conservatory, Koresh Dance Company and other world-renowned guest artists of high calibre.

Intensives are open to serious dance students ages 8 to 20. We encourage you to take this opportunity to audition and secure a coveted spot for the summer of 2021!
