L'Alliance Française rend hommage à Jean Cocteau disparu il y a 50 ans. Poète, graphiste, dessinateur, dramaturge, cinéaste... cet artiste français aux multiples talents a marqué la France et son histoire. Lors de cette soirée événement, nous vous proposons une introduction (en anglais) sur l'oeuvre cinématographique de Cocteau et puis une courte analyse (en français) de "La Belle est la Bête", ses adaptations et ses interprétations. Nous terminerons ce bel événement par la projection du film "La Belle et la Bête" de Jean Cocteau (1946) avec sous-titres anglais.
Un buffet vin/fromage sera offert.

The Alliance Française pays tribute to Jean Cocteau after his disappearance 50 years ago. Poet, novelist, dramatist, designer, playwright, artist, filmmaker... the French artist left a wonderful legacy to France. During this wonderful evening, we invite you to an introduction (in English) about Cocteau's cinema, then a short presentation (in French) about "The Beauty and the Beast", its adaptations and its interpetations. We will end this event with the screening of the movie "The Beauty and the Beast" by Jean Cocteau (1946) with English subtitles.
A wine and cheese buffet will be offered.
