Improvised History Tour
Join the "Clown Princess of Lancaster," Rubi Nicholas as she creates a one of a kind tour experience of downtown Lancaster City. Starting at Penn Square, learn important facts of Lancaster history like "This is the spot when I saw the Mayor spill an ice cream," and "Fulton invented steamboats in a landlocked city, making him the highest ranking genius in South Central PA." Walk along with your Transplant friends and join in the fun of creating a brand new history for our little city. (Don't worry, we'll throw in some real history, too.)
About Rubi Rubi NIcholas is a local stand up comedian recently named Susquehanna Style Magazine's Best of 2018 award for Comedy in the region. She is the principal of Lanc Out Loud Stand Up Comedy and Improv theater with shows and workshops taking place regularly at 551 West. She is also in the process of building our very own dedicated comedy club in downtown Lancaster scheduled to open in early 2019.
Having transplanted to Lancaster in 2009, with the goal of moving ASAP and taking the train to NYC as often as possible, Nicholas later found that this little city was a dope spot to call home. Once it got to know you...and you got to know it...and made best friends and memories from an 8 block square she has now come to cherish. Learn all the little tips and tricks of Nicholas's version of Lancaster while laughing along the way.
