Thank you, Christine Lavin, for introducing us to Don White! Last time she was here she brought Don along and, despite her decades of international touring and long history with Caffe Lena, it's Christine who insisted on opening the show for Don. He's that good.
People are justifiably skeptical when told that, except during a few strategically placed serious songs, the audience will be howling for two hours with the kind of laughter that makes you suspect that some of them might be peeing themselves just a little.
Don White finds comic gold in the foibles of marriage and parenting. His songs and stories celebrate the love at the heart of those relationships, and skewer the irritations and disasters that inevitably follow. His terribly familiar tales touch the heart as well as the funny bone, and leave you feeling like it's time to call Mom and Dad, or take your kid out for an ice cream.
