Berlioz: Requiem
The Riverside Symphonia joins forces again with the Choral Society to present an early-Romantic masterpiece. The Berlioz Requiem encompasses both the grandeur of four brass choirs surrounding the audience and the hushed intimacy of a large unaccompanied chorus singing as softly as possible. Tenor Dann Coakwell makes his Choral Society debut in the blissful "Sanctus" movement.
