After years of writing for folk-rock bands and musical theater, Greenwich, NY songwriter Bob Warren's new, intimate and poignant songs are perfectly suited to the spare orchestration of a folk duo. He's an articulate, poetic writer with roots in the folk troubadour tradition. Singing partner Joy MacKenzie is a California native with a crystalline voice and an intuitive grasp of harmony and timing. Together their voices blend tenderly in rich harmony that makes the songs dig deep, and then soar. The songs address a wide range of topics: nature, social commentary, and plenty of catchy, soulful tunes that just feel good like a summer day at the beach.The strength of their musical partnership rises from their well-honed stagecraft, and grows in the union of their voices.
