**First Show Back Home in the Renovated Caffe Lena**

The Suitcase Junket, aka Matt Lorenz, is a one-man-band. Playing up to four instruments at once, and alternating conventional singing with throat singing, Lorenz utterly transcends the mechanical minutiae. Close your eyes and you'll hear a garage rock band playing a resurrected dumpster guitar, an old suitcase, a gas-can-baby-shoe  foot drum, a cookpot-soupcan tambourine, a circular-saw-blade bell, and a box of bones.  Lorenz employs his rig in the service of songs that are rootsy, melodic, full of meaning--confronting with playfulness and handcraft a world that could so easily buckle under its burden of technology and ambition.
