Old School/New School, Featuring Megan Wells and Elizabeth Cambridge
Storytelling has recently become a phenomenon in Chicago, with dozens of shows happening monthly in bars, theaters, and book stores. However, the city is also home to legendary tellers who have shaped the national scene through decades of working at their craft.

With Old School/New School, we bring these generations together to explore their common ground through a unique, one-night only duet of life experience and interconnected personal stories.

In February, we are thrilled to present Megan Wells and Elizabeth Cambridge.

Megan Wells is a 23-year veteran touring storyteller who has performed at the national festival and as a resident teller with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Elizabeth Cambridge is an exciting new voice in Chicago storytelling, co-host of Do Not Submit Rogers Park, and creator of a popular podcast.

Doors open at 7pm, with an 8pm start time. Show runs approximately 80 minutes with no intermission. Seating is general admission. Full bar is open all evening, and dining is available before and after the performance.

Presented by the producer of This Much Is True, Story Lab Chicago, and Do Not Submit.

All sales final.

-------------------

Megan Wells is a nationally touring storyteller.  A Chicago girl, Megan's father taught her to drive "the grid" and she's been confidently navigating Chicago's streets and venues ever since.  For twenty-three years she has been crafting and performing stories in Chicago venues such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Art Institute, Pritzker Pavillion, as well as theaters, libraries and schools. Megan is a Jeff Award winning theater director and combines the dynamics of stage work with the conversational intimacy of storytelling.

Elizabeth Cambridge was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, but has lived in Chicago for 6 years.  She originally came to Chicago for the food and to attend school but stayed because of the great performance atmosphere.   She is heavily inspired by RuPaul and hosts a weekly podcast called Random Conversations with Elizabeth.
