CELEBRATING ISRAEL - PACKAGE B
CELEBRATING ISRAEL is a multi-media event in celebration of Israel Independence Day. It kicks off with the New Mexico premiere of the award winning documentary, "Above and Beyond", the story of a Jewish American "band of brothers" who in 1948 smuggled airplanes from the US, trained as pilots in Czechoslovakia, and helped start the Israeli Air Force.
The screening is followed by a celebration dinner and music performed by The Rumelia Klezmer Band featuring Israeli, Jewish, Shephardic, Ladino & klezmer music. Booths and other displays will highlight Israel's 67 years of accomplishments in medicine, technology, humanitarian aid, agriculture and the arts. See the film, dine on Israeli foods & schmooze with friends.
