Solarplexus: An Alternative Energy Play
With Planet Earth under attack by a mysterious natural disaster (that couldnt possibly be caused by human activity), a young millennial named Ellen chooses to flee from the challenges of modern society and seek refuge on her fathers sustainable, eco-friendly commune. But upon arriving, Ellen finds Frank isnt quite the man she remembered. With her fathers head full of delusions about solar chariots and talking stalks of corn, and a brother employed by the very company she has sworn to defeat, will Ellen find any peace and quiet? Will the family be able to overcome their clashing beliefs and save the world with the forces of renewable energy?
Solarplexus is a present-apocalyptic comedy about a family in the midst of a universal crisis. It is also a project that seeks to explore alternative forms of energy as a means of storytelling.
