Urban Jungle ACTING GYM

Mud is excited to announce the Urban Jungle Acting Gym on Saturday July 22 11am-2pm!! In NYC!! ONE DAY ONLY!!

In this summer urban jungle gym Jen combines her own approaches working with Sioux Black Elk storytelling methods, Yin and Yang energy exercises, and film star and Kung Fu legend Bruce Lee's Be Like Water philosophy along with Stanislavski based acting techniques to help expand your range and flex on stage and film and deepen self trust, freedom, fun, and power.

Prepare one monologue from a published play or screenplay and write and memorize (loosely is OK) a 3-minute autobiographical story. Wear comfortable clothes for movement and bring a pencil and paper. Crayons will be provided. Participants must be 16 or older it's an adult workshop but teen welcoming if they are earnestly keen to be in the gym.

One on one time in the group setting included in the day. All levels are welcome to participate from beginner to experienced.

Registration closes on July 21st. The location will be at at top NYC studio.

Jen Danby is an actor, director, playwright and producer who teaches and coaches actors and business people across the US and who founded her own theatre and film company Mississippi Mud Productions working with Broadway to student artists. Teaching credits include TV/Film acting in the City of Long Beach, Acting Gyms in NYC, and at the college level Business of Acting, Acting for Stage and Film, Shakespeare, and Drama.
